Our Story

Bumbazi bags were born from a love of kilim and a desire to take these beautiful rugs out of the home and into the world, to be carried and seen everywhere. 

We launched our first Kilim Bag collection in June 2025 and since a travel bag could last a lifetime, we wanted to avoid doing lines by season and so chose to design each collection inspired and named after a destination we love.  Each collection draws on different cultures and destinations, blending heritage influences with an easy, relaxed aesthetic.

Since launching, we’ve connected with customers across Europe and beyond, growing steadily while staying true to authenticity, quality and timeless design.
