Our Craft

Made in India by people who love their craft, every Bumbazi bag helps sustain traditional craft and skills.  Each Bumbazi bag begins in a small village just outside Jaipur as a hand-woven Indian kilim, made entirely by hand as it has been for generations: yarn dyeing, air drying, spinning and weaving - a process that takes around 25 man-days per rug.

In Jaipur, our family-run manufacturing partners carefully transform each finished kilim into a duffle, overnight, clutch or wash bag -  a meticulous build that takes over 4.5 hours per piece.

Off-cuts become belts and wash bags, and no two bags are ever the same.
