On 13 November, we hosted our official (and slightly belated) launch party in London to celebrate Bumbazi’s start in June and to showcase our two new collections - the Cotswold and Jaipur lines. It was a beautiful moment to bring together friends, customers and supporters who have been part of the journey so far.
The evening was an intimate gathering of around thirty people including friends of the brand, early customers, supporters and those who have encouraged us from the very beginning. Hosted in our founder’s flat in central London, the very place where Bumbazi was first dreamed up and built from the ground up, the setting made the night feel all the more meaningful. Celebrating our launch in the space where so many ideas, samples and late evenings came together felt wonderfully full circle.
It was a great opportunity to celebrate how far the brand has come since launching in June. These first six months have been full of learning, small and big milestones and consistent growth. We’ve been incredibly lucky to connect with customers across the UK and Northern Ireland, throughout Europe, and as far as the US, Australia and New Zealand. It felt special to share these milestones with the people who’ve supported us along the way.
The evening brought together a mix of new and old friends, supporters, customers and people who have believed in the brand since the beginning. It was filled with conversation, laughter and a genuine sense of community. One of the highlights was hearing our founder share the story behind the bags - the traditional craft, the inspiration, and the artisan families in India who bring each kilim piece to life. It was a moment that grounded the night, reminding everyone of the purpose and people behind the brand.
Above all, the launch felt like a great way to mark the start of the journey - a celebration not only of where we are, but of what’s to come.
We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has joined us so far.
